Leany the Crooked Christmas Tree
written by Mike Eckart and Christopher S. Torres
Did you ever hear the story of a Christmas tree named Leany
Down in a valley at a Christmas tree farm
Stood a lonely Christmas tree by a big red barn
The Farmer called him Leany cause he didn’t grow straight
The other trees were sold but Leany had to wait
Leany the crooked Christmas tree.
A cozy warm house is where he’d love to be
The farmer says, LEANY STAIGHTEN UP FOR ME!
Cause no one wants to buy a crooked Christmas tree
Now early in December at the Christmas tree farm
Came a very happy family that was full of Christmas charm
The children were excited and they loved the crooked tree
The Mom said, “I don’t know”, The Dad said “leave it up to me”
Leany the crooked Christmas tree
A cozy warm house is where he’d love to be
The farmer says, LEANY STAIGHTEN UP FOR ME!
Cause no one wants to buy a crooked Christmas tree
Back at home where the tree was placed
The Daddy tied up Leany trying to make him stand straight
Leany snapped back and nearly broke the Daddy’s arm
The Daddy kicked him out and yelled “BACK TO THE FARM!”
One day at the farm there was a call from overseas
a man asked “Hey farmer Do you have a tree for me?
This place a notta straight we need a crooked tree
To celebrate the Christmas can you please-a help-a me
Nowww…the’ The Leaning tower of Pisa is where Leany is tonight
With ornaments and lights now Leany’s shining bright
So always remember if you are a crooked tree
You’ll have a Merry Christmas in the place you meant to be
Leany the crooked Christmas tree
The “Leaning Tower of Pisa” That’s where Leany loves to be
The farmer says “Leany you’re a very special tree”
Cause someone always needs a crooked Christmas tree
Oh Leany The Crooked Christmas Tree
