Santa Claus Stole My Horses

written by Mike Eckart and Christopher S. Torres

It was early one Christmas Eve in Horsetown USA

Time to feed my horses give them all some hay

I walk into the barn, but no horses were around

Reindeer lying everywhere,

and a note left on the ground

Santa Claus stole my horses and he taught them how to fly

Santa ain’t no horse thief, I know the reason why

Dasher wasn’t dashin’

Comet had a cough,

Prancer wasn’t prancin’

Rudolph’s nose light was turned off

Poor old Santa’s reindeer, had caught the reindeer flu

Christmas was in jeopardy, what else could Santa do?

He gathered all the horses to help save Christmas day

Children don’t you worry, Old Santa’s on his way

Santa Claus stole my horses and he taught them how to fly

Santa ain’t no horse thief, I know the reason why

Dasher wasn’t dashin’

Comet had a cough

Prancer wasn’t prancin’

Rudolph’s nose light was turned off

The horses raced down 6th street and they all began to fly

When they passed the fire house, the sleigh flew out of sight

Then I saw the horses gallop across the sky

And Santa yelling “GIDDY-UP!”  on that Horsetown Christmas night

Santa Claus stole my horses and he taught them how to fly

Santa ain’t no horse thief, and I know the reason why

Dasher wasn’t dashin’

Comet had a cough

Prancer wasn’t prancin’

Rudolph’s nose light was turned off

Were so proud our horses could help save Christmas day

Were so glad that Santa stopped in Horsetown USA
